Is this the end of Green Deal Assessments and the GDAA? Not a chance! We are not going anywhere!!! This is an important time to join together and represent the industry. We will endeavour to influence the review and try to ensure our members play an important role within it. We envisage our member base will grow as most GDAOs that operate solely for profit will close and it will no longer be feasible to run a GDAO for a single GDA. By uniting together we have a bigger voice in the future policies that will be developed. We do not charge a membership fee so there is no cost to be a member of the largest independent GDAO. We hope the price for a GDAR will now rise to be commensurate with the amount of time taken to produce it. Remember there are still several drivers for GDARs:- GDARs are still legal documents that can be used within Green Deal Finance if the GDFC finds alternative funding streams, we don’t know if this will happen yet. There is still a requirement for a GDAR for a RHI application. GDARs are still required for some of the “two measure” GDHIF applications. GDARs are still required for some of the communities funding schemes.
